Scuba Diving in St Lucia
St Lucia is a diving paradise. The island is at the tip of an underwater volcano where both beginner and experienced divers alike can enjoy the stunning variety of coral, sponge and marine life. Horse Riding in St Lucia
There are Horse Riding stables in Gros Islet and Cas en Bas. Trail rides through the scenic countryside or riding along the beach stopping for a picnic and swimming are offered.
Golf in St Lucia
Right next door to the villa complex is part of the fairway for The St. Lucia Golf and Country Club with its championship course. This is presently the only 18-hole course on the island. Challenging golf is offered within a lush tropical setting. A new clubhouse and fine dining restaurant has recently been built and the public is welcome. The new Jack Nicklaus course will be opening shortly on the Cap Estate and this will bring his first signature course to the eastern Caribbean island making St. Lucia set to become a major golfing destination in the Caribbean.
Fish Fry’s
Anse La Raye holds their famous fish fry on Friday nights. Stalls are set up, barbeques lit and adults and children alike dance to the street music.
The famous Gros Islet Friday night Jump Up is just a 5 minute drive away. This is a less family orientated event with loud music pumping late into the night, not to be missed. Police patrol the area but don’t carry too much money or wear flashy jewellery and don’t wander up the side streets.
Shopping in St Lucia
The capital, Castries, is a 15 minute drive and there you will find the 100-year old market where you can buy local crafts, freshly caught fish, spices, fruit and vegetables. For Duty Free shopping there is La Place Carenage, Castries and Pointe Seraphine but avoid going on the days that the cruise ships are in port.
J.Q's Shopping Mall in Rodney Bay has 54 shops including an excellent supermarket. Don’t forget to take your passport and tickets to the duty free shops.

- JULY
The Carnival in Castries is the most exciting and colourful event on the island. Enjoy the fabulous costumes and listen to soca and calypso bands on Carnival Tuesday when everyone takes to the streets.
